With interest in Masonry reaching a high point after World War I, a number of new lodges were instituted in Ottawa to meet that demand. Ashlar Lodge was constituted in October 1920.

Bytown Lodge was founded in 1969, and proudly carries the former name of the City of Ottawa. Located in Westboro and known as “The Friendly Lodge”, its members pride themselves on their hospitality, and always strive to make their visitors feel welcome.

Named after one of the orders of architecture, Ionic Lodge was instituted on December 9, 1913, in Westboro. Ionic has gained a reputation for excellence in ritual work and for its social events.

Madawaska Lodge was instituted on January 9, 1868, in Arnprior during an era when lumber and grist mills were burgeoning due to Arnprior’s vital location at the meeting of the Madawaska and Ottawa Rivers.

Pembroke Lodge Crest

Founded on July 12, 1860, this lodge is famous for its collection of Past Grand Masters and District Deputy Grand Masters. Its ties to the community of Pembroke and its ties to the Canadian military characterize this lively Lodge.

Instituted on December 19, 1859, Renfrew Lodge was the first Lodge established in the Upper Ottawa Valley. It now operates in the O’Brien Apartments in beautiful downtown Renfrew.
